In [C.\ R.\ Acad.\ Sci.\ Paris, Ser.~I 334, 881--884 (2002; Zbl 1027.46091)], the author introduced the family \(\varphi(\overline X)_{p,q}\) of interpolation methods, when \(\varphi\) is a positive function on \(\mathbb R^2_+\), increasing in both variables, homogeneous of degree one and such that \(\lim_{s\to 0}\varphi(s,1)=\lim_{t\to 0}\varphi(1,t)=\infty\). \textit{E.~D.\ Kravishvili} and \textit{V.~I.\ Ovchinnikov} [Dokl.\ Akad.\ Nauk, Ross.\ Akad.\ Nauk 393, No.~1, 10--13 (2003; MR 2005h:46102)] found sufficient conditions for the embedding property \(\varphi(\bar X)_{p_0,p_1}\subset \psi(\overline X)_{q_0,q_1}\) between two spaces of such families for \(1\leq p_0,p_1,q_0,q_1\leq \infty\). In the paper under review, it is proved that these conditions turn out to be also necessary in the case \(p_0\geq q_0\) and \(p_1\geq q_1\).
