Stable tangential family germs and singularities of their envelopes (Q2573979): Difference between revisions

A tangential family is a system of regular curves which emanates tangentially from a given regular curve. For example, the geodesics tangent to a given curve in a Riemannian manifold constitute such a family. The author classifies germs of tangential families which are stable under deformations and studies the singularities of their envelopes.
