The regularity of the (\(0,r\)) Pál type Birkhoff interpolation problem associated to a pair of complex polynomials with simple roots, \(\{A(z),B(z)\}\), consists in the existence of a unique polynomial \(P(z)\), with deg \(P=\)deg \(A+\)deg \(B-1\), which has prescribed values at the zeros of \(A(z)\) and prescribed values of the \(r\)th derivative of \(P(z)\) at the zeros of \(B(z)\). The paper gives an extensive study on the regularity of the problem for the pair \(\{(z^m-1)(z-\xi),\;(z^n-1)\}\), where \(\xi\) is a complex number which is not a zero of \(z^m-1\).
