The paper under review is a continuation of the authors' paper [Invent. Math. 161, No.~3, 453--566 (2005; see the preceding review)]. More exactly, they derive the Plancherel formula for the space \(\mathcal{C}(X,\tau)\) of \(\tau\)-spherical Schwartz functions on \(X\) or, equivalently, they derive the Plancherel formula in the sense of representation theory. They make also a detailed comparison of their results with the results of \textit{P. Delorme} [Ann. Math. 147, 417--452 (1998; Zbl 0906.22015)].
