The authors present an approximation result of stochastic partial differential equations by amplitude equations near a change of stability. Particularly, they work on approximating, under the appropriate scaling, the stochastic Swift-Hohenberg equation on a large domain by the stochastic Ginzburg-Landau equation. They also show that this approximation also extends to the invariant measures of these equations.
