The maximum entropy principle asks for that probability distribution which has maximum entropy within a class of distributions characterized, e.g., by fixed expectation and/or variance. Promoting his own papers, the author presents some examples for the maximum entropy principle if the class of distributions is characterized by imprecise expectations and/or variances modeled by fuzzy numbers.
