This paper is concerned with analytic criteria for checking whether an operator whose definition is given only on the exponential vectors of a symmetric Fock space becomes a Hilbert-Schmidt operator. Let \(H\) and \(K\) be Hilbert spaces and let \(\Gamma(H)\) be the symmetric Fock space on \(H\). Denote by \(E\) the exponential map \(E:H\to\Gamma(H)\) mapping each \(f\in H\) to the exponential vector \(E(f)\) with test function \(f\). An operator \(L:\Gamma(H)\to K\) is a Hilbert-Schmidt operator if and only if the map \(\Phi:H\to K\) given by \(\Phi=L\circ E\) satisfies the following conditions: (i) \(\Phi\) is locally bounded and for each \(f,g\in H\), \(g\in K\), the complex function \(G(z)=\langle \Phi(f+zh),g\rangle\) is entire, (ii) \(\sum_{n\geq 1}(n!)^{-1}\| \Phi^{(n)}(0)\|_2^2 < \infty\). (\(\|\cdot\|_2\) denotes the Hilbert-Schmidt norm). As an application the authors find analytic conditions for operators defined on a Gaussian probability space through the Wiener-Itô-Segal isomorphism belong to the Hilbert-Schmidt class.
