For the equation \[ \Gamma(x)\equiv- y''+ q(x) y+ 2\lambda p(x) y-\lambda^2y= 0,\qquad x\in \mathbb{R}^1,\tag{1} \] with \(\pi\)-periodic real coefficients \(p(x)\) and \(q\)(x), the authors derive an analog of the system of Dubrovin-Trubowitz equations, prove the solvability of this system, establish a relationship between the analyticity of the coefficients \(p(x)\) and \(q(x)\) and the order of decay of the lengths, and obtain identities for squared normalized eigenfunctions of the periodic and antiperiodic problems for (1).
