Skew-products of the powers of an ergodic transformation with a Bernoulli base are shown to be \(k\)-automorphisms. Some of these \(k\)-automorphisms have been shown not to be isomorphic to a Bernoulli transformation by \textit{J. Feldman} in ``New \(k\)-automorphisms and a problem of Kakutani'' [Isr. J. Math. 24, 16--38 (1976; Zbl 0336.28003)]. .
