This paper shows that an accumulation point of Chebyshev approximation with weights tending to \(\infty\) by families satisfying Young's condition is a best interpolating uniform approximation. This work has since been generalized to include discretization (to appear in J. Approximation Theory). The author is developing further examples of and uses for Young's condition.
