The authors discuss the basic results of the theory of subdynamics - the way to derive the kinetic theory and non-equilibrium entropy from the reversible dynamics (classical and quantum), suggested by I. Prigogine and his colaborators. The authors use the spectral deformation technique to obtain the analytic continuation of certain parts of superresolent to the second Riemann sheet - this is the key point of the formalism of subdynamics. But the authors assert, that this way leads to the main formulas of the theory for the spectrally deformed quantities and not for the initial ones, so, the physical meaning of the projection operator \(\Pi\), of the transformation operator \(\Lambda\) and of the representation \(\rho \to \rho^ P\) of the dynamics, obtained in such a way, is questionable. In contrast to the theory of subdynamics, the authors suggest the Van- Hove form of the generalized master equation, whose rigorous proof was given by E. Davies, and, in a simplified form, is cited in the appendix of this article.
