Let \(K=\vee^{r}_{h=1}K_ h\) be a wedge of complexes \(K_ h=S^ n\cup_{\alpha_ h}e^{n+k+1}\quad(n\geq 3,\quad k\geq 1)\) where the attaching maps \(\alpha_ h\) are double suspensions \(\alpha_ h=E^ 2 \alpha_ h\!''\) and the orders of \(\alpha_ h\) and E \(\alpha\) ''\({}_ h\) are the same number \(m_ h\) for each h. Formulae are given for the composition structure in (K,K) in terms of a direct sum decomposition \((K,K)\cong \oplus^{r}_{h,s=1}({\mathbb{Z}}\oplus {\mathbb{Z}})\oplus G\) of the additive group: in case \(n\geq k+3\), (K,K) is isomorphic to a matrix ring. These results are used to give an alternative proof of a result of H. Ishimoto describing conditions under which two connected sums {\#}\(X_ h\) and {\#}\(X_ h\!^ 1\) of sphere bundles, with cross section, over spheres have the same homotopy type.
