The sequence of interpolating knots \(\{z_ k\}\) is said to satisfy a Carleson condition if \[ (*)\quad \inf_{i}\prod_{k:k\neq i}|(z_ i-z_ k)/(1-\bar z_ iz_ k)|>0. \] As was shown by A. G. Naftalevich, for any sequence \(\{r_ k\},\quad 0<r_ k<1,\quad \sum_{k}(1-r_ k)<\infty,\) there exists \(\{\phi_ k\}\quad(0\leq \phi_ k\leq 2\pi)\) such that the sequence \(\{r_ ke^{i\phi_ k}\}\) satisfies (*). In the paper the author extends this result as follows. For any \(0\alpha \leq 1\) and \(\{r_ k\}\), \(0<r_ k<1,\quad \sum_{k}(1-r_ k)^{\alpha}<\infty,\) there exist \(\phi_ k:\quad 0\leq \phi_ k\leq 2\pi\) such that the sequence \(\{r_ ke^{i\phi_ k}\}\) satisfies the following \[ (**)\quad \sup_{i}\sum_{k:k\neq i}\{(1-| z_ i|^ 2)(1-| z_ k|^ 2)/| z_ i-z_ k|^ 2\}^{\alpha}<\infty. \] As is known, the latter condition replaces the Carleson condition for the problems of imbedding of Hardy and Bergman spaces with a weight into \(\ell^ q\). Since for \(\alpha =1\), (**) is equivalent to (*), Naftalevich's theorem is also covered by this result.
