Dispersiveness and positive contractive semigroups (Q795305): Difference between revisions

The paper considers positive one-parameter semi-groups on ordered Banach spaces. The generators are characterized in the case where the positive cone is normal. The notion of dispersiveness is then introduced and a condition is given in order that dispersiveness corresponds to positivity and contractiveness of the generated semi-group. The case of a real Hilbert space ordered by a closed cone is considered, and the generators of continuous contractive positive semi-groups and groups are described.
