Using the concept of \(\alpha\)-compactness [\textit{T. E. Gantner}, \textit{R. H. Warren} and \textit{R. C. Steinlage}, ibid. 62, 547-562 (1978; Zbl 0372.54001)], the authors introduce the notions of the \(\alpha\)-perfect maps and the local \(\alpha\)-compactness, similar to those in general topology. Some elementary properties about these notions are also investigated. As the fuzzy point in the sense of Wong does not take the ordinary point as special case, the drawback makes some results, in particular those about local structure, unsatisfactory.
