The perturbed bifurcation problem for the equation \(F(y,\lambda,\delta)=0\), where \(F(0,0,0)=0\), \(F'_ y(0,0,0)=0\), is considered by a new technique presented by the authors, which is based on the method of strained coordinates. A uniformly valid asymptotic expansion of the solution is obtained, and some examples are considered. This new technique can be applied to study more general problems.
