The author formulates the mathematical problem of the condenser with arbitrary shaped plates and analyses existence and the asymptotic behaviour of the solution of condenser capacity when \(\epsilon\), the distance between the plates, tends to zero. The solution of the problem is expressed as a series of convergent functions and the condenser capacity is also evaluated as a series in \(\epsilon\). For a complete understanding of the mathematical contents of the paper it is necessary to consult some of the author's or other authors' papers, quoted in the bibliography, to which he refers the reader, for brevity.
