Propagation of wave front sets of solutions of the Cauchy problem for a hyperbolic system in Gevrey classes (Q1069045): Difference between revisions

In an earlier paper [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 20, 491-542 (1984; Zbl 0574.35082)] the second author constructed a fundamental solution for a system of hyperbolic equations assuming the constant multiplicities of characteristic roots of the system and investigated the propagation of wave front sets for the solution of the Cauchy problem. In the present paper, the authors reconsider the problem and investigate the propagation of wave front sets in Gevrey classes without the assumption of constant multiplicity of characteristic roots.
