The paper is addressed to studies of several ways of using fuzzy sets, especially fuzzy logic in expert systems to cope with different forms of uncertainty. This uncertainty is attached to probability values (linguistic probabilities) and attribute values. A treatment of theories of dispositions, Bayesian decision making studied in expert systems, incomplete knowledge representation and evidence theory with a special attention paid to their mathematical as well as applicational aspects is presented. Relevant examples are formulated with the aid of FPROLOG - forming an extension of PROLOG equipped with an ability to handle uncertainty.
