This paper studies non-linear maps of a given interval onto itself and constructs the maximum entropy measure explicitly in several cases. It illustrates the information flow in simple systems and establishes relations between Lyapunov exponents, entropies and dimension. Metric and topological entropies are used, as well as Renyi information, connected with the fractal dimension.
