Iterations by odd functions with two extrema (Q1070622): Difference between revisions

The author investigates periodic orbits of functions f: [-1,1]\(\to [- 1,1]\) which are odd and have two extrema. In the first part the Sharkowsky ordering of the periods is sharpened for this class of functions and in the second part bifurcations of one-parameter families of such functions with negative Schwarzian derivative are described.
