In this paper the triples (A,J,I) of ideals of a valuation domain R are characterized such that there exists a two-generated indecomposable R- module \(M=Rx_ 1+Rx_ 2\) with: \(A=Ann M=Ann x_ 1\), \(J=Ann(x_ 2+Rx_ 1)\) and I the breadth ideal of a unit u of an immediate extension S of R associated with M, i.e. \(I=\{a\in R| u\not\in R+aS\}.\) Moreover a characterization is given for those indecomposable two- generated R-modules M such that the endomorphism ring End M is not a local ring. Finally it is proved that two direct decompositions with two- generated summands of any finitely generated R-module are isomorphic.
