The authors introduce definition of \(T_ i\)-fuzzy continuity \((i=1,2,3)\), which generalize concepts introduced by \textit{K. R. Gentry} and \textit{B. H. Hoyle} III [Glas. Mat. 17(37), 139-145 (1982; Zbl 0501.54005)]. They show that these properties are strictly weaker than fuzzy continuity and they provide sufficient conditions under which \(T_ i\)-continuity implies fuzzy continuity. Two topological properties are also given: the \(T_ 1\)-fuzzy continuous image of a compact space is comact and the \(T_ 3\)-fuzzy continuous image of a connected space is connected.
