The author investigates the metrizability of ''natural'' topologies on space-time. Here the space topology on Lorentzian manifolds [see \textit{R. Göbel}, Mitt. Math. Ges. Hamb. 10, 763-771 (1980; Zbl 0571.53041)] is studied. It is shown that this topology is 0-semimetrizable in the sense of \textit{R. F. Gittings} [Stud. Topol., Proc. Conf. Charlotte, N.C. 1974, 179-188 (1975; Zbl 0308.54020)].
