We give some examples of pairwise nonisomorphic nontrivial principal ideals of polynomial-time degrees of recursive sets. These results yield limitations on the previously used method to characterize the structure of (the principal ideal of) the polynomial-time degrees of NP-sets (under the assumption that \(P\neq NP)\) by proving the desired results for all nontrivial principal ideals of the polynomial-time degrees.
