Die Autoren entwickeln ein Verfahren zur Erzeugung regulärer Gitter mit lexikographisch geordneten Knoten auf irregulären Gebieten. Dazu werden geeignete Transformationen im \({\mathbb{R}}^ 2\) bzw. \({\mathbb{R}}^ 3\) definiert, die ein Zusammenfallen von Knotenpunkten erlauben, was im \({\mathbb{R}}^ 2\) zu Dreiecken bzw. im \({\mathbb{R}}^ 3\) zu Pyramiden, Tetraedern und Prismen als Elementarzellen führt. Die Methode wird durch die Partitionierung einiger Objekte erklärt. Sie erweist sich als einfach und effizient. Anwendungen auf echte geophysikalische Probleme werden angekündigt.
