In this paper, the fuzzy integral defined by the author [Fuzzy Math. 2, 57-68 (1982)] which is different from that defined by \textit{M. Sugeno} [Theory of fuzzy integrals and its applications, Ph. D., Tokyo Inst. of Technology (1974)] is further considered, and it is shown that the measures of ordinary sets and fuzzy sets can be determined by each other. Summing up the results on the measures of fuzziness by \textit{A. De Luca} and \textit{S. Termini} [Inf. Control 20, 301-312 (1972; Zbl 0239.94028)], the author (op. cit.) and \textit{R. R. Yager} [Int. J. Gen. Syst. 5, 221- 229 (1979; Zbl 0429.04007); Inf. Control 44, 236-260 (1980; Zbl 0429.04008)], the axioms for measures of fuzziness are given. Furthermore, as an application of the fuzzy integrals a measure of fuzziness is defined. Inversely, it is proven that a measure of fuzziness satisfying some conditions can surely be expressed as a fuzzy integral with respect to some fuzzy measure.
