The authors introduce new B-spline bases for hyperbolic and trigonometric splines. These are little different from the hyperbolic and trigonometric ones given by \textit{L. L. Schumaker} [ibid. 38, 144-166 (1983; Zbl 0512.41008)], \textit{T. Lyche} and \textit{R. Winther} [ibid. 25, 266-279 (1979; Zbl 0414.41005)]. An application of a hyperbolic spline of degree 4 to a numerical solution of a simple two point boundary singular perturbation problem is included.
