This note deals with the discussion of examples concerning the complete integrability of some nonlinear differential equations of mathematical physics (e.g. the Korteweg de Vries equation) and the so called Painlevé property i.e. the property that all solutions of a given differential equation are free of movable singularities (except of poles).
