We address the problem of optimal positioning of a service facility among moving existing ones. A model is developed to find the initial location, the velocity and the direction of the service facility in order to minimize the cost of travel over a given time horizon. This horizon is divided into periods; in each of these periods the level of service required by each facility as well as velocity, magnitude and direction remains constant. However, the level of service required and the velocity may change only from period to period.
