[For part I see ibid. 111, 90-104 (1985; Zbl 0585.65052).] The numerical solution is obtained by the fact that an associated form with the given problem is fulfilled for any piecewise linear basic function. This fact (the authors are using a numerical quadrature rule) leads to a second order difference equation. Also, it is shown that the error at the node points \(a_ k\) satisfies a discrete Gronwall-type lemma and holds \(e(a_ k)=O(h^ 2)\). Numerical results are given.
