The authors prove that the irreducible highest weight representations L(h,c) for the Virasoro algebra with \[ C=1-\frac{6}{(\ell +1)(\ell +2)}\quad and\quad h=\frac{[(\ell +2)p-(\ell +1)q]^ 2-1}{4(\ell +1)(\ell +2)} \] (for some \(\ell =1,2,..\). and \(1\leq q\leq p\leq \ell)\) are indeed unitary representations. The proof is given by explicit construction of these modules within the level 1-modules \(L(\Lambda_ j)\) of the Kac-Moody algebra \(C_{\ell}^{(1)}\).
