\textit{A. Joyal} [Adv. Math. 42, 1-82 (1981; Zbl 0491.05007)] proved a combinatorial form of the classical multidimensional implicit function theorem. His theorem asserts the existence and (strong) uniqueness of combinatorial species which satisfy systems of combinatorial equations of a very general type. The author gives an explicit construction of these species using a combinatorial version of the Lie series [\textit{W. Gröbner}, Die Rie-Reihen und ihre Anwendungen (1967)] and generalizing his method of ''eclosions'' (bloomings) [the author, J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 39, 52-82 (1985; Zbl 0602.05005)]. At the end some remarks are made on the applicability of this method to the solution of certain combinatorial differential equations. (After the author's abstract.)
