This paper proposes an algorithm for the solution of the model of spatial price equilibrium of \textit{P. A. Samuelson} [Amer. Econ. Rev. 42, 283-303 (1952)] and \textit{T. Takayama} and \textit{G. G. Judge} [''Spatial and temporal price and allocation models'', Amsterdam (1971)]. Computational comparisons on randomly generated numerical examples suggest that this method is substantially more efficient and accurate and, at the same time, requires no more computer storage than an earlier algorithm.
