    Sei \(h(d)\) die Klassenzahl des Körpers \(\mathbb Q(\sqrt{d})\). Die Autoren bestimmen \(h(-pq)\) und \(h(-8pq)\) modulo 16 für alle Paare von Primzahlen \((p,q)\) mit Ausnahme der beiden folgenden Fälle: (1) \(p\equiv 1,\;q\equiv 5\bmod 8\), \((\frac{p}{q})=-1\); (2) \(p\equiv 3,\;q\equiv 7\bmod 8\), \((\frac{p}{q})=-1\). Die Grundlage hierfür ist neben den bereits bekannten Werten von \(h(-pq)\) und \(h(-8pq)\) modulo 8 bzw. 16 [\textit{P. Kaplan}, J. Math. Soc. Japan 25, 596--608 (1973; Zbl 0276.12006); J. Reine Angew. Math. 283/284, 313--363 (1976; Zbl 0337.12003); \textit{K. S. Williams} and \textit{J. D. Currie}, Can. J. Math. 34, 969--988 (1982; Zbl 0473.12004)] eine von den Autoren kürzlich bewiesene Kongruenz zwischen Klassenzahlen imaginär-quadratischer Zahlkörper [Acta Arith. 47, 263--276 (1986; Zbl 0557.12003)].
