The authors clarify quantitatively the significant advantages of the Adomian decomposition method [\textit{G. Adomian}, Stochastic systems. (1983; Zbl 0523.60056)] over the Picard method. They established an n!/n advantage for the Adomian decomposition in calculating n terms. Furthermore, there can be a considerable impact on computation of the terms. [Some of the obvious advantages of decomposition were also stated in Adomian's cited book, but some points may have been lost on readers because the errata for this section on comparison with Picard was not included to many purchasers. These errata have now been made part of the \textit{G. Adomian}'s follow-on book, Nonlinear stochastic operator equations (1986; Zbl 0609.60072).] The authors, as well as this reviewer, share the opinion of Adomian that Picard becomes useless in the stochastic nonlinear case while decomposition works for nonlinear stochastic and multidimensional cases. The decomposition is a much broader and powerful method than the Picard method.
