\textit{B. M. Schein} proved [Czech. Math. J. 23(98), 575-610 (1973; Zbl 0273.20047)] that every inverse semigroup S has a completion C(S), which is a complete, infinitely distributive inverse semigroup w.r.t. the natural partial order on S. The author of this paper introduces a congruence \(\equiv\) on C(S) for any E-reflexive inverse S and shows that then \(C_ 0(S)=C(S)|_{\equiv}\) is E-reflexive, and an infinitely distributive supremum-preserving completion. It is shown, that \(C_ 0(S)\) is the injective hull of S in the category of left (right) S-acts, and moreover, \(C_ 0(S)\) with this property is uniquely determined upto a semigroup isomorphism which fixes S element-wise.
