Starting with past sets and future sets the author applies the standard construction from measure theory to establish a `causal measure' for full chronological spaces. If this chronological space is derived from a space-time structure, then causally measurable sets are Lebesgue measurable apart from a set of causal measure zero. If the space-time satisfies the strong causality condition, then the converse is true. This justifies the use of Lebesgue measure for space-times from the chronological point of view.
