We prove local existence results for second order quasilinear parabolic systems with nonlinear boundary conditions in the class \[ C^{1+\alpha}([t_ 0,\tau],[L^ p(\Omega)]^ N)\cap C^{\alpha}([t_ 0,\tau],[W^{2,p}(\Omega)]^ N), \] where \(\alpha\) \(\in]0,[\), \(p>n\). Further space regularity properties are also shown. Our method uses linearization, the contraction principle in less smooth spaces, and a suitable regularization technique; it works in much more general situations as well.
