Let F be an arbitrary field, FG the group algebra of a finite group G over F. Irr (FG) the set of all irreducible characters of FG, \(Irs(FG)=\cup^{\bullet}_{H\leq G}Irr(FH)\). We denote by \(G\{\psi\}\) the stabilizer subgroup in G of any \(\psi\in Irs(FG)\) under conjugation. If \(H\leq G\), \(\psi\in Irr(FH)\) then we denote \(H=Dom(\psi).\) Let \(\chi\in Irr(FG)\), \(\lambda\in Irs(FG)\), \(Dom(\lambda)\trianglelefteq G\) and \(<\chi_{Dom(\lambda)},\lambda >>0\); then we write \(\lambda\trianglelefteq \chi\). We denote by \(\chi\) /Ker \(\chi\) the faithful irreducible character of the factor group G/ker \(\chi\) such that \(\chi\) is an inflation of \(\chi\) /Ker \(\chi\). A finite abelian group E is elementary it its exponent is a square-free integer. For any finite group G and any \(\chi\in Irr(FG)\) we define inductively a non-empty subset ESL(\(\chi)\) of Irs(FG) as follows: Case a. Ker \(\chi\) \(=1\) and \(G\{\lambda \}=G\) for all \(\lambda\trianglelefteq \chi\) such that Dom(\(\lambda)\) is elementary abelian. In this case \(ESL(\chi)=\{\chi \}.\) Case b. Ker \(\chi\) \(=1\) and there exists some \(\lambda\trianglelefteq \chi\) such that \(G\{\lambda \}<G\) and Dom(\(\lambda)\) is elementary abelian. In this case ESL(\(\chi)\) is the union of the sets ESL(\(\chi\{\lambda\})\) over all such \(\lambda\). Here, \(\chi\{\lambda\}\in Irr(FG\{\lambda \})\) such that \(\chi \{\lambda \}_{Dom(\lambda)}=<\chi_{Dom(\lambda)},\lambda >\lambda.\) Case c. \(Ker\chi >1\). In this case ESL(\(\chi)\) consists of all \(\phi\in Irs(FG)\) such that ker \(\chi\leq Ker\phi\) and \(\phi/Ker\chi\in ESL(\chi/Ker\chi)\). We call the characters \(\phi\in ESL(\chi)\) the elementary stabilizer limits of \(\chi\). Let \(\phi,\phi'\in Irs(FG)\). We say that \(\phi\) and \(\phi\) ' are isomorphic modulo kernels and write \(\phi\sim \phi'(\bmod Ker)\) if the following condition is satisfied: (*) There exists an isomorphism of the factor group \(Dom(\phi)/Ker\phi\) onto \(Dom(\phi')/Ker\phi\) onto \(Dom(\phi')/Ker\phi'\) carrying the irreducible F-character \(\phi/Ker\phi\) of the former group to the character \(\phi'/Ker\phi\) ' of the latter. Main Theorem. If \(\chi\in Irr(FG)\), then any two elementary stabilizer limits of \(\chi\) are isomorphic modulo kernels.
