Representations and bounds for zeros of orthogonal polynomials and eigenvalues of sign-symmetric tri-diagonal matrices (Q1098042): Difference between revisions

Given a sequence \(\{P_ n\}\) of orthogonal polynomials defined by a three-term recurrence relation, representations and bounds are obtained, in terms of the parameters in the recurrence relation, for the end points of the smallest interval containing the zeros of \(P_ n\). The results are compared with previous ones on the subject.
