    The functional spaces Ba, where \(B=\{B_ m\}\) is a sequence of normed linear spaces and \(a=\{a_ m\}\) is a sequence of nonnegative numbers, were defined and studied by \textit{X. X. Ding} and \textit{P. Z. Luo} [J. Syst. Sci. Math. Sci. 1, 9-33 (1981; Zbl 0592.46030)]. In this paper the Hilbert transformation is studied on Ba, where \(B_ m=L_{p_ m}[{\mathbb{R}}]\). The principal result is that the Hilbert transformation is bounded on Ba if and only if \(\alpha \leq p_ m\leq \beta\), \(m=1,2\), where \(1<\alpha <\beta <\infty\). In certain cases Ba is an Orlicz space, and the question of whether it satisfies the \(\Delta_ 2\) condition is also studied.
