The aim of this paper is to study bihomogeneous manifolds with flat projective structures. The following construction gives rise to such manifolds. Let A be an associative algebra with identity over \({\mathbb{R}}\) and let M(A) be the open submanifold of the projective space P(A) corresponding to the cone of all units in A; the groups of left and respectively right multiplication act on M(A) which becomes bihomogeneous. The authors prove that any simply connected bihomogeneous projectively flat manifold is isomorphic to the universal cover of some M(A). In order to prove this result, they reduce the problem to the study of biinvariant, projectively flat connections on Lie groups. In the last part of the paper they investigate projectively flat manifolds with transitive translation groups. The authors also relate this work to that of \textit{E. B. Vinberg} [Trans. Mosc. Math. Soc. 1963, 340-403 (1965); translation from Tr. Mosk. Mat. O.-va 12, 303-358 (1963; Zbl 0138.433)] who studied projectively homogeneous bounded domains in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n.\)
