The author obtains a class of operators on the torus for which a necessary and sufficient condition for the global hypoellipticity is given by a Siegel condition. Then, he studies a class of operators which do not satisfy a Siegel condition. These operators are not hypoelliptic, nor satisfy a so-called Hörmander condition but they are still globally hypoelliptic.
