Geometric relations among the identity map, the transpose map, and the map \(\tau_ 0(x)=(1/n)Tr(x)1_ n\) in the matrix algebra \(M_ n\) are illustrated, providing parametric examples of maps which are not \(k+1\)-positive but which satisfy the matrix Schwartz inequality of order k for \(1\leq k\leq n-1\). [For part I see Math. Z. 184, 101-108 (1983; Zbl 0511.46050).]
