Infinite product systems are considered of the form \(\mathcal K=\otimes^{\infty}_{-\infty}(\mathcal H,x_{\tau})\) where \(x_{\tau}\) is a trace vector with \(\mathcal A=\otimes^{\infty}_{- \infty}(\mathcal N,\tau)\) where \(\mathcal N\) is a von Neumann algebra with trace \(\tau\). The corresponding shift on \({\mathcal A}\) is denoted by \(\alpha\) and a state \(\phi\) on \({\mathcal A}\) is given. Define \(\mathcal B_n=\bigvee^{n-1}_{k=0}\alpha^{-k}{\mathcal B}_ 1\) and let \(H_{\phi}(\mathcal B_n)\) be the corresponding entropy. It is shown that there exists an \(\alpha\)-invariant operator h in \({\mathcal A}\) such that we have the following \(\phi\)-almost uniform convergence \(\lim_{n\to \infty}n^{-1}H_{\phi}(\mathcal B_n)=h\).
