    Die Verf. studieren herzfreie Untergruppen H von Gruppen G, deren Faktorintervalle \([G/H]=\{X|\) \(H\leq X\leq G\}\) projektive Geometrien sind. Sie zeigen, daß eine solche Untergruppe H ein normales abelsches Komplement besitzt, auf dem sie treu operiert und das direktes Produkt H-isomorpher minimaler Normalteiler von G ist, falls eine der beiden folgenden Voraussetzungen erfüllt ist: (1) G ist hyperabelsch und H besitzt einen nichttrivialen zyklischen Normalteiler. (2) G besitzt eine aufsteigende Normalreihe mit endlichen abelschen Faktoren. Sie verallgemeinern damit Resultate von \textit{P. Plaumann, \textit{K. Strambach}} und \textit{G. Zacher} [Monatsh. Math. 99, 117-145 (1985; Zbl 0552.20012)] sowie \textit{H. Kurzweil} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 356, 140-160 (1985; Zbl 0548.20015)], die diese Aussage unter den etwas schwächeren Voraussetzungen (3) G hyperzyklisch bzw. (4) G endlich auflösbar bewiesen hatten.
