For an increasing and unbounded, stable sequence \(\alpha =(\alpha_ n)\) consider the Hilbertizable power series space of finite type \(\Lambda_ 1(\alpha)\) of all \((\xi_ n)\in \omega\) with \(\sum | \xi_ n|\) \(2\rho^{2\alpha_ n}<\infty\) for all \(\rho <1\). If \(\Lambda_ 1(\alpha)\) is nuclear the author has characterized subspaces of quotients of \(\Lambda_ 1(\alpha)\) by using his celebrated properties (\underbar{DN}) and (\({\bar \Omega}\)) [Stud. Math. 71, 251-270 (1982; Zbl 0539.46009) and Manuscr. Math. 37, 269-301 (1982; Zbl 0512.46003)]. Now he succeeds to extend these resuls to the non-nuclear case with the following trick: There are sequences \(\beta\) and \(\gamma\) such that \(\Lambda_ 1(\alpha)=\Lambda_ 1(\beta){\tilde \otimes}_{\pi}\Lambda_ 1(\gamma)\) and \(\Lambda_ 1(\beta)\) is nuclearö Therefore the typical exact sequence [see \textit{D. Vogt- Wagner}, Stud. Math. 70, 63-80 (1981; Zbl 0466.46012)] \[ 0\to \Lambda_ 1(\alpha)\to \Lambda_ 1(\alpha)\to \Lambda_ 1(\alpha)^{{\mathbb{N}}}\to 0 \] is inherited from the one for the nuclear \(\Lambda_ 1(\beta)\) and the usual techniques apply.
