For a hyperbolic singular point of a vector field, the vector field is locally topologically conjugate to its linearizations at the singularity. However, there are analytic vector fields with hyperbolic singular points not formally conjugate to their linear parts. Although, it is true that if a formal conjugacy exists there is a smooth conjugacy. In the paper under review similar questions are resolved for the case of non hyperbolic singularities when there is exactly one zero eigenvalue or a single pair of pure imaginary eigenvalues of the linearization at the singularity. In this case, the main theorem asserts that, except for such vector fields in an exceptional set of infinite codimension, the existence of a formal conjugacy implies the existence of a smooth conjugacy. In addition, the exceptional set is given explicitly. In fact, the exceptional set is defined after formal reduction to the Dulac normal form. In case there is just one zero eigenvalue, the condition for membership is that the Dulac normal form vanish on the formal center manifold and in the case of a pair of pure imaginary eigenvalues with Dulac normal form along the center manifold given by \(\dot z=z(i\omega +g(z\bar z))\), with \(z=x+iy\), the condition is satisfied when \(g\) has zero real part.
