Completeness issues for Sciore's axioms [\textit{E. Sciore}, J. Assoc. Comput. Mach. 29, 373-393 (1982; Zbl 0485.68093)] are examined for the special case where the join dependencies are logically implied by the universal relation join dependency. It is shown that Sciore's axioms are complete for this special class of join dependencies.
